How to use the HEIC to JPG Converter

  1. Choose or drop your HEIC photos (up to 30 at once).
  2. Each photo is converted to JPG automatically.
  3. Download the JPG files one by one, or click Download all.

HEIC is the photo format iPhones use by default. To open or upload those photos where HEIC isn't accepted, convert them to JPG — this tool does it in your browser without uploading anything.

What is a HEIC file?

HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) is the format iPhones and iPads have saved photos in since iOS 11. It keeps similar quality to JPG at roughly half the file size. The catch: many websites, older Windows PCs and online forms don't accept HEIC, so uploads fail or the photo won't open.

Stop your iPhone saving HEIC

On iPhone go to Settings → Camera → Formats and choose Most Compatible. New photos are then saved as JPG. Photos you already took stay HEIC — convert those here.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Conversion happens inside your browser, so your photos never leave your device. The page keeps working even if you go offline after it loads.

Can I convert several images at once?

Yes. Select or drop up to 30 images and download them one by one or all together.

Does converting HEIC to JPG lose quality?

JPG is saved at high quality (92%), so the difference is not visible in normal use. The JPG file will be larger than the HEIC original.

Why does my HEIC photo appear rotated?

The tool applies the rotation stored in the photo, so the JPG should match what you see on your phone. If one looks wrong, rotate it in any photo editor.
