Upload a photo of your signature, crop it, and download it at the exact size a form asks for — for example 140 × 60 pixels and 10–20 KB (JPG), the format many exam and bank application forms use. The clean-up option turns the paper pure white and the ink dark, and a transparent PNG is available for signing documents.
How to use the Signature Resizer
- Sign in black ink on plain white paper and take a clear, straight photo (or scan it).
- Upload it, choose the size you need and drag/zoom so the signature fills the frame.
- Keep “Clean up” on for a white background, then download your signature.
Common signature sizes
| Use | Size | File |
|---|---|---|
| Exam and bank recruitment forms | 140 × 60 px | JPG, 10–20 KB |
| Job portals and general forms | 300 × 100 px | JPG, under 50 KB |
| Larger, sharper copy | 600 × 200 px | JPG, under 100 KB |
| Signing PDFs and documents | Transparent PNG | Background removed |
Always check your form's instructions — sizes differ between organisations. Many also ask for black ink on white paper and reject signatures written in capital letters.
What “Clean up” does
Phone photos of paper are rarely pure white: there are shadows, a grey or yellow tint and uneven light. Clean up measures the paper brightness across the photo, turns the paper pure white and makes the ink dark — the clean look forms expect.
Minimum file size
A small, clean signature can be just a few KB — less than the 10 KB minimum some forms require. When that happens the tool adds invisible padding inside the JPG file (a standard comment block) so it meets the minimum. The picture itself is unchanged.
Frequently asked questions
Is anything uploaded to a server?
No. Everything is processed in your browser, so your files and text never leave your device.
Why is my signature rejected for being too small in KB?
Some forms require at least 10 KB. Use the 140×60 size here — it is automatically kept between 10 and 20 KB.
Can I use a signature drawn on my phone?
Yes — take a screenshot or save it as an image, then upload it here. Clean up works best with dark ink on a light background.
How do I add the transparent signature to a PDF?
Download the transparent PNG and insert it as an image in your PDF editor or word processor; the background stays see-through.
